We stayed here over MEA weekend. It's still only the motel that's open. I agree, it will be nice when the bike shop and coffee shop are open... As for the motel, there are 8 rooms and check in and reservations were completely contactless. We got our invoice via email and paid prior to our first night. On arrival day we got a detailed and easy to follow text on where to park, how to get in, and our key code for the room. The room was as pictured, clean and comfortable. There was a night stand and chair, but no drawers or closet to store clothes, aside from a coat rack. Very spartan! Sound carries from the hall, but we couldn't really hear sound from neighboring rooms. The room has a white noise machine and fan. There is a mini-fridge. I wish there was a microwave or coffee machine, not the end of the world though. The place was nice and a great location for seeing the sights.
Great place to stay! Snowmobile trail is easy access from this place and plenty of trailer parking. Rooms are clean and inviting. Couple places to eat within walking distance if you don’t want to drive and Jimmy’s Pizza in Silver Bay delivers. Love the keyless entry for the room. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely loved this place! We came up for our anniversary and snowmobiling, they have plenty of parking space for trucks with trailers with tons of trails nearby! Nice clean rooms and super clean and hot showers! I definitely plan on coming back!
Honestly this place is a bang for your buck!! Highly recommend staying here. Great food spots nearby to try. Love being in the area.
Super location in Beaver Bay MN (right off of US61) centrally located to so many beautiful natural sight-seeing locations. Right at wonderful biking and hiking trails (a short walk to a fun waterfall). Don’t forget to shop right at the Red Raven for quality and well designed souvenirs for all (store open on the weekends). The establishment’s owner and staff are very accommodating and helpful. This motel is also conveniently located near a delicious food, coffee and more establishment (One, Two Ate Cafe) and or in a rush or getting in late a convenient store across the street (plan to eat before 7:30 PM if dining out-places seemed to close early rather than later off US61).
It’s nice to still have affordable places to stay that are clean and comfortable. Excellent location on the north shore and close to amazing mountain biking trails. Also close to Split Rock Lighthouse and Black Beach! Great Hosts!
Located in a prime spot on the North Shore! Our stay was great. Clean rooms set the stage for a fun experience, and the added bonus of having a bike shop right on the premises made our visit even better. The shop was a hub of cheerful and accommodating folks, James and Martha. Would highly recommend the motel and bike shop!
We booked through AirBnB and had an overall good experience. We stayed in room 8. It was spacious and comfortable, better than expected. The location is great, and has easy contactless check in. The hosts were also very good about communication-we had a few questions about plowing after a snowfall and TV access and they responded quickly. You definitely hear hallway sounds with thin walls-but that is pretty expected.
